Unhappy Trading still a mess

Ok factions has been out for quite some time now and trading is still rampaging all over the place. Obvoiusly gw cared enough to make your phrases atuomaticly go to trade of you type WTB or WTS but this is pointless since people just had spacing or do \/\/TB. So if they cared enough to make this change, where are the auction houses/private stores? It's not like a breakthough or anything, MANY MANY other MMORPGS have em. Plus I remember in an interview (one from guildwars.com but I can't site it directly sorry) that they said they were going to add an auction house. I don't want to hear "wait for chapter 3" because chapter 2 should have had this.

Look I don't want to be angry at anet, and I'm really not, but it's hard when I spent $50 for something and it's so incomplete. Auction houses/private stores have been a need for the longest time and they still haven't been added. So no offense to any anet people reading this, but I am getting rather tired of this not being added to the game when it should have been added with factions.

How about I'm sick of the same thread being repeated and suggested over and over, and yet more people still do it. We know trading is a problem, that's why you TURN OFF ALL CHATS, and as Gaile said Auction Houses may or may not but strongly MAY in the near new chapters or updates.

How is an auction house makes a game incomplete? It's a little thing that can help, but many games live on and prosper without one.

#1 I've tried using the search before but it never works. #2 I'm not going to spend an hour sifting through the enitre forums making sure my idea has never been posted, that just takes way too long. #3 Yes I can turn off trade chat I'm not an idoit, but trading is still hard to manage and takes time. An auction house would make things a lot easier.

So please think before you flame, I apolgize if my idea has been repeated but that's most likely because the game needs it. Please if you have something negitive to say maybe try not being a jerk to me about it, I would greatly apperciate it.

You are right you paid 50 bucks for the game. You arent paying a monthly fee! They do everything in their power that they can, dont expect immediate change for you because you arent paying monthly like in WoW or Lineage 2. If you dont like people trading in local chat, dont give them buisness. Boycott the local chat traders even if you need something they have, dont give into them. Gaile had also mentioned an auction house and other things like that, it doesnt mean that A-Net can come out with this stuff at the snap of their fingers, crap like this takes time. HAVE PATIENCE, quit complaining about all the bad things and enjoy whats good about the game, everyone seems to focus on the negative and they let it bother then to the point of a *RaGe QuIt!*. Big updates take time, and you can also never change people in game to void local chat and stuff like that. Trading is only a tad bit of tjhe game, not the whole thing so stop letting it tickle your pickle and play the other parts of the game.

Deal with it.

Woha hang on there buddy! I posted one thing about the game and you go on a flame fest aginst me? No real need calm down, you can express yourself without talking to me like that. Man alive, have people on these forums gotten meaner or what?

Anyway by paying $50 I mean the fact that factions wasn't as good as just guild wars. I paid the same price for 2 classes instead of 6 plus there was a lot less PvE content. Please don't stop reading here I got more to say.

Am I SAYING factions should have had 6 more classes and the same amount of PvE content? NO. ABOSLUTLY NOT. Then why do I mention it? Becuase I paid the same price for less content and it's rather dissapointing. Yes I love the fact that guild wars has no monthly fee. But I'm not going to pay $50 every 6 months (which I heard is going to be the chapter time seperation from now on) for content not worth $50. I'm making a simple suggestion to improve the game so that it's worth the same price I paid for the original game. $50 every 6 months is like an $8 monthly fee. Granted you CAN play wihtout buying the next chapter but can you really advance in guild wars without the new content? Possibly but even so it's a lot of money.

So yes I love guild wars and would love to keep playing, but I would expect a bit more for $50. Yes I know it's a "stand alone" but how about making it NOT a stand alone and saving me 20 bucks? So I'm not trying to stir up anger in anyone but it seems you've done that plenty on your own LOL! So everyone stop posting angry comments here, I'm smart enough to listen to your arguments without talking to me like I'm an idioit.

Umm...Well ok the only reason why I see this as a problem is that u probably played some free online games before right?Therefor, you are trying to compare the free ones to the paying ones, also take in consideration the graphics, pvp concepts, and all of that. Dont take it in concept like comparing GW to runescape and expecting GW to be the best game created, cause runescape is absoultely free, or so ive been told.

And since its so much clutter in the trade channel, its hard to trade using it.

Improving the situation

Have two channels, one for offering/selling, and another for requesting/buying, perhaps that would be easier to implement than the long overdue auction house .

Settling for less or perhaps more?

divide lionsarch (and perhaps other towns) into two sections,

one with the merchants and traders & storage. -A place where people can trade spam to hearts content (in short remove merchants corner, and have that area as a separate "town")

the other would be a more quest district, have the other npcs (and no xunlai storage), making it less ideal for spammers, traders, and those that are visiting town just to sell stuff, and more ideal for questers since its mostly them that will have a reason to be there.

The two sections would also reduce the unneccesary distance (that really isnt a problem, and kinda short) between the arrival spot and npc destination.
not to mention sorting out people that are trading from those that are questing.

Mr Wolfmaster, I apologize for any nastiness you may have considered offensive in this thread, but since it has been brought up so often people are a little sick of seeing such threads.

Apart from the search function, which I know doesn't always work, there is the Index of Ideas stickied at the top of this forum which has a list with links of many suggestions.

The auction house and other trade media has been suggested many times. Your suggestion here seems to be that ANet should... hurry up in putting them in. I think we're all thinking that. I'm going to be closing this thread for redundency, however.

Cheers.
